Get ready to belt out out your favourite tunes with Apple Music Sing
Apple Music has announced a new karaoke feature, Apple Music Sing, which allows users to sing-a-long to their favourite tracks.
With millions of songs set to be included within the upcoming feature — users will be able to follow lyrics in real-time, with the option of a “Duet View”, plus adjustable track elements and levels.
The new feature will also introduce over 50 dedicated Apple Music Sing playlists, all brimming with karaoke classics.
In a statement, Apple Music said: “Apple Music Sing offers multiple lyric views to help fans take the lead, perform duets, sing backup, and more — all integrated within Apple Music’s unparalleled lyrics experience.
“Coupled with an ever-expanding catalog that features tens of millions of the world’s most singable songs, Apple Music Sing makes it fun and easy for anyone to participate, however and wherever they choose.”
Oliver Schusser of Apple said: “Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service.
“We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favourite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”
Apple Music Sing is set to become available later this month to Apple Music subscribers and will be accessible on iPhone, iPad, and the Apple TV 4K.
Last month, Apple Music announced is has raised their monthly subscription cost for users.
In the UK, the Apple Music individual and family plans now cost £10.99 and £16.99 respectively, while in Europe they cost €10.99 and €16.99 respectively.
Apple says the increased cost for users will also see an increase in earnings for artists and songwriters.
